When I was a sophomore at USC, I was a socialist, pretty much to the left. But not when I left the university. I quickly got wise. I’d read about what had happened to Russia in 1917 when the Communists took over.

Karl Marx was in favor of socialist and communist-socialist revolutions, but he had a pretty nuanced view about it.

We’ve got to keep our eye on what’s happening with Russia and North Korea. We cannot lose sight of domestic policy, either. Healthcare. Immigration. Climate change.

I didn’t go to university. Didn’t even finish A-levels. But I have sympathy for those who did.
