We are not at war against Islam.

When you have peace in yourself and accept, then you are calm enough to do something, but if you are carried by despair, there is no hope.

I was raised a Catholic on both sides of the family. I went to a Catholic grade school and thought everybody in the country was Catholic, because that’s all I ever was associated with.

Our country does not believe in the concept of your God and my God. We believe that all gods are one. We have different ways of accepting Him. All ways lead to Him.

I was always respectful of people who were deeply religious because I always felt that if they gave themselves to it, then it had to be important to them. But if you can go through life without it, that’s OK, too. It’s whatever suits you.

I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.

Every people have gods to suit their circumstances.

‚God‘ is a relative word and has a respect to servants, and ‚Deity‘ is the dominion of God, not over his own body, as those imagine who fancy God to be the soul of the world, but over servants.

You may either win your peace or buy it: win it, by resistance to evil; buy it, by compromise with evil.

I’m not claiming divinity. I’ve never claimed purity of soul. I’ve never claimed to have the answers to life. I only put out songs and answer questions as honestly as I can… But I still believe in peace, love and understanding.

Too many Christians live their lives like slaves – to the devil – because they believe his lies more than they trust God.

I tell you the solemn truth, that the doctrine of the Trinity is not so difficult to accept for a working proposition as any one of the axioms of physics.
