Tomorrow hopes we have learned something from yesterday.

As I’ve said, there were patriots who supported this war, and patriots who opposed it. And all of us are united in appreciation for our servicemen and women, and our hopes for Iraqis‘ future.

Let me just tell you how thrilling it really is, and how, what a challenge it is, because in 1988 the question is whether we’re going forward to tomorrow or whether we’re going to go past to the – to the back!

Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.

Yesterday is but today’s memory, and tomorrow is today’s dream.

In such a porcelain life, one likes to be sure that all is well lest one stumble upon one’s hopes in a pile of broken crockery.

We become not a melting pot but a beautiful mosaic. Different people, different beliefs, different yearnings, different hopes, different dreams.

Yesterday’s just a memory, tomorrow is never what it’s supposed to be.

We stand today on the edge of a new frontier – the frontier of the 1960’s – a frontier of unknown opportunities and perils – a frontier of unfulfilled hopes and threats.

Prosperity is not without many fears and distastes; adversity not without many comforts and hopes.

The pause between the errors and trials of the day and the hopes of the night.

Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It’s perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we’ve learned something from yesterday.

Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose.
