One must be poor to know the luxury of giving!

Sadly, of course, there is real evil in the world. You watch the news, and you see all of the people suffering and so much cruelty.

I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.

Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live.

If someone decides they’re not going to be happy, it’s not your problem. You don’t have to spend your time and energy trying to cheer up someone who has already decided to stay in a bad mood. Believe it or not, you can actually hurt people by playing into their self-pity.

Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.

I walk every day, and I look at the mountains and the fields and the small city, and I say: ‚Oh my God, what a blessing.‘ Then you realise it’s important to put it in a context beyond this woman, this man, this city, this country, this universe.

As long as poverty, injustice and gross inequality persist in our world, none of us can truly rest.

When you show deep empathy toward others, their defensive energy goes down, and positive energy replaces it. That’s when you can get more creative in solving problems.

It is a way to take people’s wealth from them without having to openly raise taxes. Inflation is the most universal tax of all.

Listen with the intent to understand, not the intent to reply.

Ignorant kindness may have the effect of cruelty; but to be angry with it as if it were direct cruelty would be an ignorant unkindness.

Most people would assume my business success, and the wealth that comes with it, have brought me happiness. But I know I am successful, wealthy, and connected because I am happy.

We all want to win more, but it’s all about being blessed and embracing your blessings. We have life.

I hope that tomorrow we can all, wherever we are, join in expressing our grief at Diana’s loss, and gratitude for her all-too-short life. It is a chance to show to the whole world the British nation united in grief and respect.

Instead of being critical of people in authority over you and envious of their position, be happy you’re not responsible for everything they have to do. Instead of piling on complaints, thank them for what they do. Overwhelm them with encouragement and appreciation!

Wealth is the ability to fully experience life.

Agriculture not only gives riches to a nation, but the only riches she can call her own.

We don’t get to know people when they come to us; we must go to them to find out what they are like.

The giving of love is an education in itself.

The goal for me is always to have the opportunity to work in different genres. This is a great and exciting time in my career, where I can have the opportunity to work in different genres, and also I recognize there’s not a lot of actors who have that opportunity and I’m grateful for it.
