Joy is the serious business of Heaven.

I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Nevertheless, whether in occurrences lasting days, hours or mere minutes at a time, I have experienced happiness often, and have had brief encounters with it in my later years, even in old age.

My message is that God is a good God.

Tears of joy are like the summer rain drops pierced by sunbeams.

If you’re in a workplace you don’t like right now, be encouraged because God will use it for your good. Think about it this way: He wants you to be a light in the darkness – and He’s putting His confidence in you!

Christmas is joy, religious joy, an inner joy of light and peace.

You can live your life angry, bitter, mad at somebody or even guilty, not letting go of your own mistakes, but you won’t receive the good things God has in store.

Let God’s promises shine on your problems.

Marriage and family are ordained of God. The family is the most important social unit in time and in eternity. Under God’s great plan of happiness, families can be sealed in temples and be prepared to return to dwell in His holy presence forever. That is eternal life!

Man only likes to count his troubles, but he does not count his joys.

The Bible says that as Christians we don’t grieve the same way people do who have no hope of eternity and of Heaven – but we still grieve.

Most people already know what they’re doing wrong. When I get them to church I want to tell them that you can change.

There is no hope of anyone going to Heaven unless they believe this truth I am presenting. You cannot go to Heaven unless you believe with all your heart that Jesus took your place in Hell.

Protect your enthusiasm from the negativity of others.

If selfishness is the key to being miserable, then selflessness must be the key to being happy!

There are many things that happen every day that we could murmur about if we let ourselves go there. But they really aren’t worth the effort it takes to get upset and gripe about it.

My three children have brought me great joy.

You always have to remember that if you say something negative, it’s going to come back to haunt you.

To suppose that any form of government will secure liberty or happiness without any virtue in the people, is a chimerical idea.

Most people are happy being average. Most are happy being faceless in a sea of faces.

The only ones among you who will be really happy are those who will have sought and found how to serve.

Friendship improves happiness and abates misery, by the doubling of our joy and the dividing of our grief.

I’m going to Heaven just like the thief on the cross who said in that last moment: ‚Lord, remember me.‘

The happiest people in the world are those who feel absolutely terrific about themselves, and this is the natural outgrowth of accepting total responsibility for every part of their life.

When someone does a small task beautifully, their whole environment is affected by it.

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.

I feel real good because it’s about representing the young world and how to uplift each other and how to push us to be greater and make sure we don’t fall or get trapped or get in trouble, you know what I mean. Stay focused, you know what I mean.

Virtually nothing is impossible in this world if you just put your mind to it and maintain a positive attitude.

You pray in your distress and in your need; would that you might also pray in the fullness of your joy and in your days of abundance.

If you want a quality, act as if you already had it.

People in tough times – it doesn’t mean they don’t have a great attitude.

It is a joy to be an artist, but it doesn’t mean very much unless that work is somehow useful in some way and contributes to others.

I’ve never been a jealous person, and I’ve never felt built up by someone else’s failure – that’s a cheap thrill.

By all means, marry. If you get a good wife, you’ll become happy; if you get a bad one, you’ll become a philosopher.

On every front there are clear answers out there that can make this country stronger, but we’re going to break through the fear and the frustration people are feeling. Our job is to make sure that even as we make progress, that we are also giving people a sense of hope and vision for the future.

I feel matured in a way that I’m happy about. I’m at this other stage in my life – and it’s not a bad thing at all.

You all look like happy campers to me. Happy campers you are, happy campers you have been, and, as far as I am concerned, happy campers you will always be.

Know then this truth, enough for man to know virtue alone is happiness below.

Prospering just doesn’t have to do with money.

I love being on stage, I love being able to tell a story, I love the fact that the audience listens and laughs at it. It makes me happy, and it’s what I live for.

Only by joy and sorrow does a person know anything about themselves and their destiny. They learn what to do and what to avoid.

The fact is that since you’re a divine creation who originated in the world of Spirit, you have exactly the right amount of smarts to accomplish all that you need and want to do while you’re here on earth. It’s all perfect… and so are you!

Fight with a happy heart.

I prefer to praise people and the world rather than criticize them and it.

Man never thinks himself happy, but when he enjoys those things which others want or desire.

At the end of the day, I pray for the best.

Anyone who’s looked into a newborn’s innocent eyes should realize how incredible it is to be blessed with a new life.

More compassionate mind, more sense of concern for other’s well-being, is source of happiness.

Heaven cannot brook two suns, nor earth two masters.

Too many people measure how successful they are by how much money they make or the people that they associate with. In my opinion, true success should be measured by how happy you are.

I’m confident with my ability.

Nothing can resist the person who smiles at life – I don’t mean the ironic and disillusioned smile of my grandfather, but the triumphant smile of the person who knows that he will survive, or that at least he will be saved by what seems to be destroying him.

The most happy man is he who knows how to bring into relation the end and beginning of his life.

Wondrous is the strength of cheerfulness, and its power of endurance – the cheerful man will do more in the same time, will do it; better, will preserve it longer, than the sad or sullen.

Instead of being critical of people in authority over you and envious of their position, be happy you’re not responsible for everything they have to do. Instead of piling on complaints, thank them for what they do. Overwhelm them with encouragement and appreciation!

Life would be tragic if it weren’t funny.

My songs have always been frustrating themes, relationships that I’ve had. And now that I’m in love, I expect it to be really happy, or at least there won’t be half as much anger as there was.

We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out.

Education is not a problem. Education is an opportunity.

Nothing flatters a man as much as the happiness of his wife; he is always proud of himself as the source of it.
