If I were going to convert to any religion I would probably choose Catholicism because it at least has female saints and the Virgin Mary.

The faith that stands on authority is not faith.

The reason why I wear gold – I wear gold for three reasons. One, when Jesus was born, three wise men came from the east: one brought frankincense, one brought myrrh, the other one brought gold. Jesus never said a word about homosexuality. In all of his teachings about multiple things – he never said that gay people should be condemned. I personally think it is very fine for gay people to be married in civil ceremonies.

The gospel to me is simply irresistible.

God’s mercy and grace give me hope – for myself, and for our world.

I am a nuclear physicist by training and a deeply committed Christian. I don’t have any doubt in my own mind about God who created the entire universe. But I don’t adhere to passages that so and so was created 4,000 years before Christ, and things of that kind.

I do not believe in the God of theology who rewards good and punishes evil.
