I don’t go down the road of condemning.

I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about dying, but I like to think that I’ve – if it did occur – that I would die peacefully and not make too much of a fuss about it.

Understand: any phenomenon in the world is by nature complex. The people you deal with are equally complex. Any action sets off a limitless chain of reactions. It is never so simple as A leads to B. B will lead to C, D and beyond.

There’s something about death that is comforting. The thought that you could die tomorrow frees you to appreciate your life now.

If you would judge, understand.

The best morale exist when you never hear the word mentioned. When you hear a lot of talk about it, it’s usually lousy.

I gave in, and admitted that God was God.

A better world shall emerge based on faith and understanding.

I believe if you keep your faith, you keep your trust, you keep the right attitude, if you’re grateful, you’ll see God open up new doors.

You always have to remember that if you say something negative, it’s going to come back to haunt you.

I have to be in tune. All the time. I have to be in tune with my husband, where he is, how he’s feeling. I have to be in tune with where my family is.

All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them.

Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.

It’s human nature to gripe, but I’m going ahead and doing the best I can.

As pessimistic as I am about the nature of human beings and our capacity for atrocity and malevolence and betrayal and laziness and inertia, and all those things, I think we can transcend all that and set things straight.

We do not judge the people we love.

The big message of gospel is that you don’t have to keep fighting the universe; you can stop, and the universe is quite good to you. There is a loss of ego.

Kind words do not cost much. Yet they accomplish much.

He who has faith has… an inward reservoir of courage, hope, confidence, calmness, and assuring trust that all will come out well – even though to the world it may appear to come out most badly.

To realize that you do not understand is a virtue; Not to realize that you do not understand is a defect.

You’re not better than anybody else, but you’re not less than anybody else. You’re a child of the Most High God.

I never go into a situation with any type of expectations.

Your most important work is always ahead of you, never behind you.

Let us more and more insist on raising funds of love, of kindness, of understanding, of peace. Money will come if we seek first the Kingdom of God – the rest will be given.

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.

A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance.

There’s a scripture that says, ‚A merry heart doeth good like medicine.‘ I think that’s true, too.

As a child of God, I am greater than anything that can happen to me.

I am looking for a lot of men who have an infinite capacity to not know what can’t be done.

No, I’m not anguished and tormented.

Error is acceptable as long as we are young; but one must not drag it along into old age.

I’m not a regrets-type person.

I think everybody deserves an equal amount of appreciation whether how old they are, but I mean, I’m cool with the praise. I’m good.

If everything isn’t black and white, I say, ‚Why the hell not?‘

The supernatural is the natural not yet understood.

I am not promising that God will give you everything you want. There are times when we want things that God knows would not be good for us.

Satan wants us to constantly focus on everything that is wrong with us and look at how far we still have to go. But God desires for us to rejoice in how far we have already come.

I liked his ability to deal with a lot of the negativity that surrounded him. Even though he was in a world that he didn’t want to be in, he still saw the bigger picture.

These are not dark days: these are great days – the greatest days our country has ever lived.

I’m not ashamed to say I fear something.

We are in a wrong state of mind if we are not in a thankful state of mind.

I’m not concerned with your liking or disliking me… All I ask is that you respect me as a human being.

Racial prejudice, anti-Semitism, or hatred of anyone with different beliefs has no place in the human mind or heart.

I just think that trusting God means we’re going to have unanswered questions, and God is so much bigger than us, we’re never going to understand them all.

Love does not begin and end the way we seem to think it does. Love is a battle, love is a war; love is a growing up.

There is no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.

Do not let circumstances control you. You change your circumstances.

One may understand the cosmos, but never the ego; the self is more distant than any star.

I don’t believe in pessimism. If something doesn’t come up the way you want, forge ahead. If you think it’s going to rain, it will.

Saying nothing… sometimes says the most.

We have a big appetite for putting people down but, at the heart of everyone, there’s enough room for all of us to succeed.

Our species needs, and deserves, a citizenry with minds wide awake and a basic understanding of how the world works.

An enemy generally says and believes what he wishes.

Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.

When a man says he had pleasure with a woman he does not mean conversation.

The man who has done his level best… is a success, even though the world may write him down a failure.

The capability of negotiating… is something that means you not only have to understand fully what you believe and what your national interests are but in order to be a really good negotiator, you have to try to figure out what the other person on the other side of the table has in mind.

If you can dream it, you can do it.

You pray for rain, you gotta deal with the mud too. That’s a part of it.

I’m no longer just a candidate. I’m the President. I know what it means to send young Americans into battle, for I have held in my arms the mothers and fathers of those who didn’t return. I’ve shared the pain of families who’ve lost their homes, and the frustration of workers who’ve lost their jobs.
