I believe there is something out there watching us. Unfortunately, it’s the government.

In much of the world, there is a sense of an ultra-powerful CIA manipulating everything that happens, such as running the Arab Spring, running the Pakistani Taliban, etc. That is just nonsense.

Eeew, I’d be a little uncomfortable Googling myself. People sit there – and Google themselves? That’s kind of weird.

People love conspiracy theories.

I feel much freer now that I am certain the pope is the Antichrist.

If there were camera phones back in the day, the biggest athletes in the world would have had a lot of explaining to do.

I don’t believe in conspiracy theories. I’m just a cold-blooded investigator.

I feel like I’m being watched. Always. Like, I want to tan topless somewhere, and I know I probably could never do that. Even if I’m upstairs in my bedroom, and the curtains are pulled, I feel like a paparazzo’s outside on a boat somewhere, or somebody’s peeping.

Everybody has a hacking capability. And probably every intelligence service is hacking in the territory of other countries. But who exactly does what? That would be a very sensitive piece of information. But it’s very difficult to communicate about it. Because nobody wants to admit the scope of what they’re doing.

Most of my songs have names of people I’ve met or are dear to me. There are people who have privacy issues and about people knowing about their private life. But for me, I like to include few special names and few details about them to make the song very special to me.

I believe the American people have a genuine and justifiable fear of government intrusion in what they instinctively know is going to be an ever more intrusive world.

It’s dangerous when people are willing to give up their privacy.
