Guys need attention. They need that nourishment, that little stroke of the ego that gets them by every now and then.

No one wants advice – only corroboration.

Considering their impact, you might expect mosquitoes to get more attention than they do. Sharks kill fewer than a dozen people every year, and in the U.S. they get a week dedicated to them on TV every year.

Whatever position I occupied, it was the result of colleagues – of my comrades in the movement – who had decided in their wisdom to use me for the purpose of focusing the attention of the country and the international community on me.

That’s what a man wants in a wife, mostly; he wants to make sure one fool tells him he’s wise.
