Fashion breaks my heart.

In a meat-eating world, wearing leather for shoes and clothes and even handbags, the discussion of fur is childish.

I see that the fashion wears out more apparel than the man.

The fashion of the world is to avoid cost, and you encounter it.

It was a strike against me that I didn’t wear baggy jeans and jerseys and that I never hustled, never sold drugs.

Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.

I wear a hat on stage so that people won’t be blinded by the reflection from my head. Also, if I don’t wear a hat, there’s no way that the hat can be at that level by itself on the stage.

I thank Marc Jacobs so much for giving me the opportunity to design a shoe for Louis Vuitton, but the thing that broke my heart most was when they said, ‚You’re finished. The shoe’s finished.‘
