Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart.

I believe many people feel like God is mad at them. One day I put a post on Facebook that said, ‚God is not mad at you.‘ Within a few hours, we literally had thousands of positive responses from people saying things like, ‚That is exactly what I needed to hear today.‘ Obviously, this is a message we need to hear.

The fact is that since you’re a divine creation who originated in the world of Spirit, you have exactly the right amount of smarts to accomplish all that you need and want to do while you’re here on earth. It’s all perfect… and so are you!

Any experience that touches you, in any particular way, is good. It can be a horrible experience.

While the crash only took place six months ago, I am convinced we have now passed the worst, and with continued unity of effort, we shall rapidly recover. There is one certainty of the future of a people of the resources, intelligence and character of the people of the United States – that is, prosperity.

You want to do good things, and once you’ve done a couple of good things in a row, you think ‚Well gee, let’s not mess this up.‘ But I am lucky at this point that I have something I really love to do, and it completely holds my attention. I never feel frustrated by it.

Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul – and sings the tunes without the words – and never stops at all.

Sometimes, if you begin to sing in a halfhearted mood, you can sing yourself up the ladder. Singing will often make the heart rise.

I have a personal ambition to live my life honestly and honor the true love that I’ve had and also the people I’ve had around me. I want to stay hopeful, even though I get scared about why we’re even alive at all.

Instead, I have an abundance mentality: When people are genuinely happy at the successes of others, the pie gets larger.

You have enough people against you… be for yourself.

When it comes to life the critical thing is whether you take things for granted or take them with gratitude.

You’re not better than anybody else, but you’re not less than anybody else. You’re a child of the Most High God.

All I really had was a suitcase and my drums. So I took them up to Seattle and hoped it would work.

Fear is real, but so is love.

Wisdom has its root in goodness, not goodness its root in wisdom.

If you think you can do a thing or think you can’t do a thing, you’re right.

I’m an optimist in the sense that I believe humans are noble and honorable, and some of them are really smart. I have a very optimistic view of individuals.

Don’t wait around for other people to be happy for you. Any happiness you get you’ve got to make yourself.

Mr. T. been to chemo, Mr. T been to radiation, hair fall out… but he’s back. Now I can give hope when I go to the hospital, see the sick kids with cancer, tell them, don’t quit.

I think it’s OK to be confident in yourself.

My view is that at a younger age your optimism is more and you have more imagination etc. You have less bias.

Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you!

The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.

Your energy, your spirit are important considerations. Feeling petty and frustrated can have reverberating consequences for your ability to think strategically and reach your goals.

I think I hate cynicism more than anything else. It’s the curse of our age, and I want to avoid it at all costs.

God’s dream is that you and I and all of us will realize that we are family, that we are made for togetherness, for goodness, and for compassion.

You’ll see it when you believe it.

Feeling sorry for ourselves is the most useless waste of energy on the planet. It does absolutely no good. We can’t let our circumstances or what others do or don’t do control us. We can decide to be happy regardless.

If one dream dies, dream another dream. If you get knocked down, get back up and go again.

Men are not prisoners of fate, but only prisoners of their own minds.

I want to represent… to the kids to draw strength from me. So they can see that everybody goes through something, but you can rise up and do your best. Just try.

I don’t want to say anything negative about anybody or anything or anybody’s political beliefs. I’ve never done that. I’ve never tried to get involved in those things.

I was very blessed to have family and friends, but particularly family, who told me I was not only all right, I was just right, so I believe that my brain is a good one, and it’s lasting me very well.

Israel was not created in order to disappear – Israel will endure and flourish. It is the child of hope and the home of the brave. It can neither be broken by adversity nor demoralized by success. It carries the shield of democracy and it honors the sword of freedom.

Life is one big road with lots of signs. So when you riding through the ruts, don’t complicate your mind. Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy. Don’t bury your thoughts, put your vision to reality. Wake Up and Live!

It was that which gave promise that in due time the weights should be lifted from the shoulders of all men, and that all should have an equal chance. This is the sentiment embodied in that Declaration of Independence.

In all my work, I try to say – ‚You may be given a load of sour lemons, why not try to make a dozen lemon meringue pies?‘

The most important thing is to enjoy your life – to be happy – it’s all that matters.

What can I know? What ought I to do? What can I hope?

When you focus on being a blessing, God makes sure that you are always blessed in abundance.

The future rewards those who press on. I don’t have time to feel sorry for myself. I don’t have time to complain. I’m going to press on.

Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today.

I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant.

There’s a scripture that says, ‚A merry heart doeth good like medicine.‘ I think that’s true, too.

This is not a bad life.

Pretension is a poor joke that you play on yourself. Snap out of it. Recognise your strengths, work on your weaknesses. Real achievement is liking what you see in the mirror every morning.

If you pretend to be good, the world takes you very seriously. If you pretend to be bad, it doesn’t. Such is the astounding stupidity of optimism.

The love of heaven makes one heavenly.

Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend.

Neither should a ship rely on one small anchor, nor should life rest on a single hope.

I’m not happy all the time, and I wouldn’t want to be because that would make me a shallow person. But I do try to find the good in everybody.

Stupidly it should not be. It should be also nice. One must get along with that. Is however not necessary.

I don’t know where I’m going from here, but I promise it won’t be boring.
