America is another name for opportunity.

It was that which gave promise that in due time the weights should be lifted from the shoulders of all men, and that all should have an equal chance. This is the sentiment embodied in that Declaration of Independence.

It is a rough road that leads to the heights of greatness.

The magic of America is that we’re a free and open society with a mixed population. Part of our security is our freedom.

I think Clinton, after getting into office and into Washington, was shocked at being bludgeoned. So he spent time trying to be all things to all people – one way guaranteed not to be successful or respected in a lion’s den.
