America has absorbed people from around the world, and there is an Indian in every part of the world. This characterizes both the societies. Indians and Americans have co-existed in their natural temperament.

Whatever America hopes to bring to pass in the world must first come to pass in the heart of America.

I came here in 1974 to do a play, and then I went to L.A. I really like living in America. I feel more at home here than anywhere else.

The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life.

The amazing fact is that America is founded on a document. It’s a work in progress. It can be tested by each generation.

America is the only country that went from barbarism to decadence without civilization in between.

During bad circumstances, which is the human inheritance, you must decide not to be reduced. You have your humanity, and you must not allow anything to reduce that. We are obliged to know we are global citizens. Disasters remind us we are world citizens, whether we like it or not.

I had one incident where my daughter said that a girl asked if she was a brown person. I said, ‚We’re black. You have black people, white people, Chinese people, Hispanic people; we’re all brought up differently.‘

Here in America, we don’t give in to our fears. We don’t build up walls to keep people out.

I have dual citizenship; it just so happens I live in America. I would like to go back to Wales. I’m obsessed with my childhood, and at least three times a week dream I am back there.

America is the spirit of human exploration distilled.

The men and women of Afghanistan are building a nation that is free, and proud, and fighting terror – and America is honored to be their friend.

Our society is illuminated by the spiritual insights of the Hebrew prophets. America and Israel have a common love of human freedom, and they have a common faith in a democratic way of life.

We will invest in our people, quality education, job opportunity, family, neighborhood, and yes, a thing we call America.

There is nothing wrong with America that faith, love of freedom, intelligence, and energy of her citizens cannot cure.

In America the President reigns for four years, and Journalism governs forever and ever.

In America, an inventor is honoured, help is forthcoming, and the exercise of ingenuity, the application of science to the work of man, is there the shortest road to wealth.

I would dream. I focused all my attention on going to America. The subculture, James Dean, the rock n‘ roll, the beat writers.

America has fought five wars since 1945 and has gained its objectives in only one of them, the Gulf War.

America is the land of the second chance – and when the gates of the prison open, the path ahead should lead to a better life.
