I love the scents of winter! For me, it’s all about the feeling you get when you smell pumpkin spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, gingerbread and spruce.

Left ear, I wear four earrings. The four is symbolic of the four seasons, spring, winter, summer and fall, the four directions, north, east, south and west, the four gospel writers, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

A women who doesn’t wear perfume has no future.

It is extremely difficult to say how long the process actually took to finally achieve my fragrance, Boudoir, because there was a lot of time waiting around for other people.

I am proud to have been born in Iowa. Through the eyes of a ten-year-old boy, it was a place of adventure and daily discoveries – the wonder of the growing crops, the excitements of the harvest, the journeys to the woods for nuts and hunting, the joys of snowy winters, the comfort of the family fireside, of good food and tender care.

Now is the winter of our discontent.

It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.

Love is like a beautiful flower which I may not touch, but whose fragrance makes the garden a place of delight just the same.

I had slumps that lasted into the winter.

God gave me some weird, beautiful scent that makes men and women go crazy. People compare it to Carvel. It is a whale of a smell.

Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it.

You can’t get too much winter in the winter.

I have always loved blizzards, if only because of the driving experience – which is definitely an acquired taste.

A book has got smell. A new book smells great. An old book smells even better. An old book smells like ancient Egypt.

Long stormy spring-time, wet contentious April, winter chilling the lap of very May; but at length the season of summer does come.

I don’t like perfumes that are too strong or sweet. I like a fragrance that is earthy and sensual and can be worn at any time.

I’m really interested in smells. I think I’d like to own a perfumery someday.
