If you are going to describe the history of animation, you’d look at the early Disney work, then ‚Bugs Bunny,‘ ‚Road Runner‘ and other Warner Brothers theatrical productions. But when you got to ‚Rocky and Bullwinkle,‘ you’d see they were unique: They assumed you had a brain in your head.

When Bugs Bunny walks into rehab, people are going to turn and look. People at rehab were stealing my hats and pens and notebooks and asking for autographs. I couldn’t concentrate on my problem.

I was of the generation where most of the Disney princesses and female characters were not girls that I admired. They just weren’t characters I looked up to and identified with.

The most propagandistic element of ‚Frozen‘ was the transformation of the prince at the beginning of the story, who was a perfectly good guy, into a villain with no character development whatsoever about three-quarters of the way to the ending.
